After a few brief formalities and an introduction to your guide, we’ll start this journey together and begin to discover all of the amazing animals Uganda has to offer.

Day 2

Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi

Kick back and relax on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, hike on the steep hills that hem it in, or take a boat out to some of the 29 islands that protrude from its surface. Bunyonyi means ‘Place of Small Birds’, and the birdlife here is indeed
plentiful. There’s also no better place in Africa to see otters swim past as you enjoy a lakeside drink
or meal.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

There are few more iconic wildlife experiences than trekking in search of mountain gorillas. These soulful creatures and the remarkable landscape they inhabit are worth every second that you walk through the forest to find them

Whether you want to chill out at the waterside swimming pool, paddle a free canoe out onto the lake, or relax in a contemporary-styled room with a unique cave-like bathroom, BirdNest Resort is the most prestigious hotel on Bunyonyi. September 2017. The Batwa Pygmies were evicted from their home lands in the forest in the early 1990s when the National Parks were established, leaving them landless and poor in a society that saw them as a lower class. Today some of them try to make ends meet by hosting trail walks; cultural tours that include examples of where and how they use to live in the forest as well as singing, dancing, and handicrafts for sale. The end of your safari with us

Get to know the area and all it has to offer when you stay at Burunga Gorilla Lodge just inside Rushaga Sector. The lodge’s facilities include A wildlife viewing deck, a bar and a restaurant.

Payment Terms

A 30–50% deposit of the total safari cost is required to confirm a booking.
The balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start of the safari.

Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of confirmation. 

Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or mobile money, as communicated by Kaije Safaris.
